Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix had an early aptitude for athletics when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting potential at the time. Only 10 weeks after her first tryout she came 2nd in the 200 meter event in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas a contract as professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic award at 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s which set a new junior world record. The year 2005 was the time she was the youngest 200-meter world champion in the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, beating her former Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her races.
