Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since 11 November 1996. She made her film debut as a Bond girl with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte as Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody began modelling after being offered by an experienced photographer. This led to an impressive modeling career in the commercial world. Doody avoided nude and glamour work. This was a principle that was carried into her acting. Having come to the attention of the director who cast the upcoming James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one of the 12 most promising new Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Doody, who was only 18 at the time she portrayed Doody in the movie A prayer for the dying (1987) with Mickey Rourke. Doody is the tiniest Bond girl to be seen. Another early movie had her in a minor role as IRA member Siobhan Donovan on A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she starred Mickey Rourke. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 film adaptation of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. Doody played Sapsorrow in an episode of Jim Henson's fantasy show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking probably her most high-profile part in her career as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. The film was awarded the Almeria film award on the 21st of November, 2018.
