Evan Rachel Wood

Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7th, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a theatre actor and writer, while her mother, Sara Wood is an actress and acting coach. There are two older brothers, Dana Wood, a musician, as well as Ira David Wood IV, who has also acted. Evan and her brothers occasionally were on stage at Theatre In The Park in Raleigh where her father established and where he is the executive director. At the age of five she screen-tested against Kirsten Dunst to play the lead part in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) following a lengthy audition process. She's kept in contact with for the majority of her time in Once and Again (1999) Castmates: Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
