Big Time Rush

Big Time Rush is an American pop-rock boy band formed in the year 2009. The group is comprised of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow along with Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. In 2009, they signed with Nick Records before moving to Columbia Records. The group was featured in the Nickelodeon television show of the same name, Big Time Rush. The show aired from the beginning of November 28th, 2009 to July 25 2013. The pilot episode featured "Big Time Rush" the group's first single for promotion. The group has released three studio albums: BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011 and 24/Seven in the year 2013. In 2014, the group stopped touring for an indefinite period that ran until 2021. They returned to live performances in the studio and released "Call It Like It's What It's Like". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush a record deal in 2009 as they were simultaneously airing the tv show Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon collaborated with Columbia/Epic Label Group for production and original music. The first single from the group, "Big Time Rush" was featured on the show on the 29th of November, 2009. The announcement was made by Nickelodeon the series first shown in the U.S. in November 2009 up until the time it was made available worldwide. The show premiered in a special preview of the series. The theme is currently the show's theme. The series also saw the releases of promotional singles including "City is Ours" and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also covered the Play song "Famous" that was written by him. The song first came out on iTunes on June 29th in 2010. The second song, "Halfway There", was also released to iTunes after its debut on the series. The band soon became their first charting track on the Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked at 93 thanks to the digital sales. On September 21 in 2010, Big Time Rush released second single "Till I Forget About You" to celebrate the release of their debut album. On October 11, 2010 the album, which was titled BTR released to the public. The album peaked at number 3 on Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies in its first week.
