Brooke Christa Shields Bio

Brooke Christa Shields, born May 31 1965, is an American actress. She began her career as a child model and gained critical acclaim at the age of 12 for her lead role in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby (1978). She modelled into her teen yearsand was recognized for her part in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby. Shields had a few film roles as well as a return to acting in the 1990s. She was also a mainstay in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-192000), where she earned two Golden Globe nominations and Lipstick Jungle (2008)-2009. In the year 2017, Shields returned to NBC as a key recurring part in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which is currently in its 19th season. Shields is the voice of Beverly Goodman on Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles, and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields was born in Manhattan, New York on May 31, 1965. She was the daughter of actress and model Teri Shields (nee Schmon, 1933-2012) and businessman Frank Shields (1941-2003). Based on William Addams Reitwiesner research, Shields had ancestral connections to various noble families from Italy. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Her paternal grandmother was the Italian noblewoman Marina Torlonia di Zivitella-Cesi she was the daughter of an Italian prince and an American socialite. Her great-uncle, Alessandro Torlonia, an Italian nobleman was the husband of Infanta Beatriz in Spain. Teri was paid the sum of money by Frank's family to terminate the pregnancy.
