Aisha Jamila Hinch is an American actor who is most well known for her roles on the television series The Shield and True Blood. Ever since her debut in 2003, she has proven her ability in the role of actress with stunning performances in television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. Her role in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was her first performance to attract her the attention of viewers. But it was her performance as the feminist Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally earned her recognition as an actor. Hind earned praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the show to air a new season.
